Shift Officer – Production

About the role

The Shift Officer – Production is responsible for overseeing all production activities during an assigned shift at Ferrero. The role ensures safety, quality, and optimal output while coordinating the line team and interfacing with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production progress against KPIs (SQCDME) and manage resource utilization.
• Lead the shift team, resolve conflicts, conduct performance evaluations, and handle absences.
• Enforce safety and hygiene standards, conduct training, and perform inspections.
• Oversee product quality through self‑checks, sampling, and corrective actions.
• Manage inventory flow, coordinate material allocation, and support production planning.
• Coordinate maintenance requests, identify improvement opportunities, and drive implementation.
• Communicate performance updates to the UGP Manager, RdL, and other departments, ensuring smooth handovers.
• Maintain accurate production records and contribute to the merit plan for workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in the food processing industry.
• Proven ability to lead shop‑floor teams and handle manpower.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
