Service Technician

About the role

Liebherr Australia is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join its tower crane service team in Sydney. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing tower cranes and hoists, ensuring safe and efficient operation while supporting rigging crews during assembly and disassembly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tower cranes and hoists.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Inspect, test, and verify components for compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
• Proven experience with fixed or mobile plant mechanical maintenance, preferably on cranes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.
