Service Engineer – Maharashtra

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Service Engineer to manage post‑sales service operations for wind turbines in Maharashtra. You will lead a local team of technicians, ensure safety and quality standards, and act as the primary point of contact for customers in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong technical knowledge of turbine operations and provide daily support to local technicians.
• Take full ownership of the assigned sub‑area, monitoring performance, safety, and quality.
• Promote a customer‑focused approach, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Verify subcontractor safety documentation, lifting plans, and permits before work execution.
• Coach and lead technicians, setting clear goals and recognizing achievements.
• Ensure service orders and work instructions are clearly understood before work begins.
• Execute all tasks according to approved procedures and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Strong expertise in turbine troubleshooting and Major Component Replacement (MCR) execution.
• Completed technical training in electro‑technology or mechanics.
• Knowledge of remote team management.
• Previous experience in a technology or administrative environment; renewable/wind energy knowledge is a plus.
