Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer (OBS)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer (OBS) to support new product introduction and sustaining engineering for medium‑complexity assemblies. The role works with moderate guidance to develop BOMs, manage engineering changes, create manufacturing documentation, and resolve configuration issues.

Key responsibilities

• Create and release new, alternate, and replacement part numbers in lifecycle management systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain BOMs for medium‑complexity assemblies.
• Execute engineering change activities such as ECOs, NSRs, and CCB actions.
• Create and validate operation method sheets and other manufacturing build documentation.
• Support 3D virtual product analysis, digital mock‑up, and design reviews.
• Lead managed builds for assigned assemblies and support manufacturing readiness.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions related to BOM and configuration issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in product engineering, BOM management, and manufacturing readiness.

Required skills

• Bill of Materials and product structure management.
• Part number creation and engineering release processes.
• Engineering change control and configuration management.
• Manufacturing build and test documentation creation.
• Basic knowledge of CAD, Digital Mock‑Up, and virtual build processes.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action execution.
