Service Engineer – AMC, Commissioning & Installation (Flash Butt Welding)

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our team in Kolkata, supporting AMC, commissioning and installation of Flash Butt Welding Machines across India. The role involves on‑site technical support, preventive maintenance and customer training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing of Flash Butt Welding Machines as per AMC contracts.
• Lead installation and commissioning of new machines at customer sites.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support, addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed service reports and documentation.
• Train customer personnel on machine operation and maintenance best practices.
• Act as primary technical contact, ensuring effective communication with foreign clients and partners.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in equipment maintenance, installation and commissioning, preferably with Flash Butt Welding Machines or similar industrial equipment.
• Proficient English with strong spoken communication skills for interacting with international clients.
• Experience in customer support and technical troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
