Senior VMware Engineer – Chennai

About the role

TCS is looking for an experienced VMware professional to join its Chennai team. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining virtual and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security across Windows and VMware environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory services, including GPO, security, and domain administration.
• Deploy, configure, and support VMware virtualization platforms and related hypervisors.
• Maintain server hardware, perform firmware upgrades, and coordinate with vendors for hardware issues.
• Implement and manage Azure AD, AD Connect, and Microsoft Identity Management solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot Network Policy Services (NPS), DHCP, DNS, and ADFS synchronization.
• Administer file, print, and KMS servers, including DFS and group policy settings.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide escalation support for Windows Server and virtualization incidents, including performance tuning and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience with VMware and Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and related identity management tools.
• Proven ability to manage physical and virtual server infrastructure at scale.
• Experience with network services such as NPS, DHCP, DNS, and SSL certificates.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and experience with performance tuning and root‑cause analysis.
