Senior Trainer – Simulation & Triage

About the role

The Senior Trainer – Simulation & Triage will lead technical enablement for autonomous‑vehicle (AV) simulation workflows, scenario creation, behavioral triage and GenAI‑assisted tools. Reporting to the L&D Manager, the role combines deep AV system knowledge with proven instructional design to up‑skill engineers across AV pods.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑depth training on simulation workflows, behavior modules (prediction, planning, control) and YAML scripting for scenario generation.
• Facilitate hands‑on sessions for triaging LiDAR, video and log data using AV testing tools.
• Design and iterate advanced training modules, technical labs and case‑based content in collaboration with QA and simulation engineers.
• Integrate GenAI tools (e.g., AI log summarizers, auto‑tagging models) into curricula and train learners on synthetic scenario generation and triage automation.
• Develop scenario‑based assessments, monitor learner performance and provide 1:1 coaching or remedial sessions.
• Mentor junior L&D staff and support curriculum rollout across autonomous‑mobility pods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in simulation validation, AV training or technical coaching, including at least 2 years as a lead trainer.
• Preferred certifications: Train‑the‑Trainer, Simulation Platforms (Carla, LGSVL), GenAI Enablement.

Required skills

• AV simulation platforms (Carla, LGSVL) and YAML scripting.
• Behavioral modeling, planning, prediction and perception concepts.
• Hands‑on knowledge of LiDAR, radar and sensor‑fusion data.
• GenAI integration for scenario tagging and log analysis.
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Notion, LMS platforms, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
