Senior Tax Consultant – BFSI

About the role

KPMG India is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant to support its Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) clients. The role involves managing corporate tax compliance, advisory assignments, and regulatory filings while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely corporate tax compliance for clients, including assessments, return filing, advance tax, and TDS.
• Prepare income‑tax submissions, handle assessment and appellate matters, and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Conduct technical research, case‑law analysis, and prepare advisory memos and presentations.
• Engage in corporate tax mandates, regulatory registrations, and advisory work related to FEMA, banking/NBFC, and insurance guidelines.
• Assist senior staff in business development and client pitching.
• Manage billing, follow‑up on client payments and TDS certificates.
• Coach and develop junior members on corporate tax concepts.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of experience in corporate income‑tax compliance.
• Strong analytical abilities and good communication/presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple engagements while meeting quality and timeline standards.
