Senior System Administrator – Night Shift

About the role

TekWissen Group is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to join its IT infrastructure team in Visakhapatnam. This full‑time, night‑shift position (6:30 PM‑3:30 AM) requires strong technical leadership and the ability to manage critical systems independently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure/support team, delegating tasks and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
• Own end‑to‑end management of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, and routing/switching infrastructure.
• Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and ensure reliable backup and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Monitor infrastructure health, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with vendors, MSPs, and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other IT frameworks.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and escalation procedures.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of hands‑on experience in system administration and IT infrastructure.
• Proven leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently during night shifts.
• Strong ownership of infrastructure availability, security, performance, and business continuity.
