Senior Storage Engineer

About the role

Senior NAS (NetApp) Storage Engineer ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of NAS arrays and related storage infrastructure. The role supports the full lifecycle of storage solutions, from installation and upgrades to decommissioning, while driving automation and modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and define work for complex storage scenarios, resolve issues, and manage priorities under time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Support release and lifecycle processes for NAS array installs, upgrades, and decommissions.
• Provide thought leadership for enterprise‑level NAS storage infrastructure and contribute to operational readiness, documentation, and policy updates.
• Lead troubleshooting, major incident response, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Champion ITIL‑based incident, request, change, and problem management processes.
• Partner with monitoring teams to develop new alerts and performance monitors.
• Participate in automation, deployment of new storage infrastructure, and maintain an accurate CMDB.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Extensive experience with NetApp storage platforms and NAS environments.
• Ability to mentor less‑experienced associates.

Required skills

• NetApp storage solutions (NAS arrays, replication, Cloud Insight).
• Python scripting and Ansible automation.
• Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
• Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP networking and firewalls.
• ITIL‑based incident and problem management.
