Senior Steward

About the role

The Senior Steward will lead daily dining operations at Jeevantara Club Resort in Udaipur. This full‑time, hybrid position combines on‑site supervision with occasional remote tasks to ensure seamless food and beverage service for both leisure guests and event attendees.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise set‑up of tables and service areas, guaranteeing correct placement of linens, utensils and décor.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to deliver timely and accurate food and beverage orders.
• Respond to guest requests, resolve concerns and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in all dining venues.
• Train, mentor and guide junior stewards in service procedures, hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory of service equipment and report shortages.
• Support special events, banquets and large‑scale functions as required.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Hands‑on experience in food & beverage or food service operations within a hotel, resort or similar environment.
• Proven capability to train and supervise junior staff.
• Knowledge of basic hygiene, safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and variable hours.
• Proficiency in English or Hindi; additional local languages are a plus.
