Senior Software Engineer - Test Automation (Clinical Platform)

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in test automation for its Clinical Platform. The role supports the delivery of mission‑critical Vault applications, leveraging cloud services and modern DevOps tools while working in a flexible “Work Anywhere” environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review automation test plans with development, product management and functional QA teams.
• Design and implement API and UI automation frameworks using Java, Selenium and Cucumber.
• Maintain regression test suites and contribute to release testing.
• Operate CI/CD pipelines daily with Git, Jenkins and JIRA.
• Mentor junior team members and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with global scrum teams on sprint planning and backlog grooming.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, test automation or software development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience with automated test frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.
• Proficiency testing RESTful APIs, JSON/XML and web‑based applications.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
