Senior Software Engineer

About the role

PRGX, a global provider of source-to-pay data analytics and software and tech-enabled profit recovery services, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Pune, India. The role is full time and requires authorization to work in India without sponsorship; English is required.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver resilient, scalable, extensible and maintainable product and platform solutions.
• Coach and mentor engineers through thoughtful feedback on designs and code reviews, and champion engineering excellence.
• Provide cost/benefit analysis to influence technology selection and architecture strategy, and recommend, influence and document technical solutions with senior engineers and technology leaders.
• Act as a trusted technology expert for business and product management by estimating and delivering new business capabilities predictably.
• Act as a senior technical member of distributed agile scrum teams, removing impediments and delivering on sprint and release commitments.
• Develop technology proof of concept to illustrate architecture concepts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade product solutions.
• 5+ years designing, developing and documenting RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Prior experience with event-driven, high-volume, multi-tenant SaaS architectures and platforms.
• Proven experience leading agile scrum teams and guiding planning and estimation.
• Must be authorized to work in India without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of MVC, Spring Boot, SAML/OAuth, API governance, service mesh, JPA, ORM, Lucene-based indexing and search.
• Object-oriented and functional programming.
• Expert SQL and NoSQL, and high-volume data streaming tools such as Kafka Streams.
• Cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure managed services.
• Preferred: Node.js, TypeScript, AngularJS, Python for AI, Cucumber/Selenium testing, Jenkins CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps with Argo.
