Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Flipkart, India’s largest e‑commerce marketplace, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and build highly maintainable, unit‑tested software components that solve real‑world problems. You will work in a fast‑paced, agile environment where your solutions have immediate business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable software components and systems with strong unit‑test coverage.
• Deliver high‑quality code that addresses complex business flows and large data volumes.
• Collaborate in an agile team to ensure rapid delivery and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• BTech/MTech in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience in start‑up‑like environments with high ownership.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and solid computer‑science fundamentals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one OO language such as Java, Ruby, Clojure, Scala, C or C++.
• SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Object‑oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Unit and integration testing; Test‑Driven Development is a plus.
• Multi‑threading and concurrency programming.
