Senior Software Engineer – Backend (Java/Kotlin)

About the role

Join Anaplan’s fast‑growing engineering team in Gurugram as a Senior Software Engineer. You will work in an autonomous Agile squad, building and delivering high‑impact SaaS solutions that power Fortune‑50 customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate within a cross‑functional, autonomous team to design, develop, and ship reliable backend services.
• Champion best practices for zero‑downtime deployments and production stability of SaaS offerings.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and experience crafting well‑architected, maintainable applications.
• Proven expertise building scalable backend micro‑services on the JVM using Java, Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Deep focus on testing, understanding when to apply unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes; experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
• Positive energy, enthusiasm for a collaborative culture, and a drive to solve complex problems.
