Senior Software Engineer (Android – Kotlin Expert)

About the role

Adyen is looking for a senior engineer to own and evolve the core payment‑terminal software that runs on Android devices. You will design, implement and maintain high‑performance Kotlin code that powers payments for global retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance payment‑terminal features such as card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and QR‑code acceptance.
• Integrate the terminal software with Adyen’s backend to provide a unified payment platform.
• Write, test and monitor business‑logic components that run on Android‑based terminals and mobile phones.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Kotlin development and 8 years of Android experience.
• Experience building enterprise‑level SDKs and delivering end‑to‑end features from design to production.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
