About the role
We are looking for a Senior Model‑based Designer/Developer to lead the development of control software for grid‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) power plants. The role focuses on creating robust, secure, and high‑performance control solutions using MATLAB/Simulink for utility and grid applications.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop battery power plant control software for utility and grid use cases.
- Implement customer‑specific OS controls and integrate grid‑scale battery and power conversion systems.
- Document control logic and maintain comprehensive design records.
- Troubleshoot field issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and support engineering requisitions.
- Ensure software robustness, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Track progress, manage tasks, and report status using JIRA and Confluence.
Required profile
- 6–8 years of experience in control software development.
- B.Tech/M.Tech/BE/ME in Computer Science, ECE or EEE.
- Strong knowledge of grid market applications and power‑systems domain (P/Q/V/f controls, power loss estimation, GFL, GFM).
Required skills
- MATLAB/Simulink for model‑based design.
- MQTT and Modbus communication protocols.
- JIRA and Confluence for task and documentation management.
- Testing expertise: unit tests, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL), Software‑in‑the‑Loop (SIL), offline simulation.
