Senior School Math and Applied Math Educator

About the role

Ekya Schools is seeking a Senior School Math and Applied Math Educator to join its Bengaluru campus. The full‑time position involves planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons for secondary and senior secondary students, aligned with the school’s in‑house curriculum and relevant board standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver student‑centered, activity‑based math and applied‑math lessons that promote conceptual understanding, problem‑solving and real‑world application.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, rubrics and learning resources, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in professional learning initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and contribute to co‑scholastic activities and school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• Prior experience teaching senior‑school mathematics in CBSE, ICSE or IGCSE curricula.
• Strong expertise in secondary and senior secondary mathematics and the ability to connect concepts to real‑world contexts.
• Effective classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive, safe learning environments.
