Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with deep expertise in OTT mobile applications. You will lead testing efforts for video‑streaming apps on Android and iOS, ensuring flawless subscription flows, API integrations, and performance across diverse network conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans, cases and scenarios for OTT mobile products.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke and sanity testing of end‑to‑end user journeys (registration, login, content discovery, playback, subscriptions, account management).
• Validate subscription workflows including free trials, in‑app purchases, payment gateway integration, coupon codes, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and entitlement checks.
• Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger or similar tools and verify backend services for authentication, content delivery, subscriptions, user profiles and recommendations.
• Test CMS features such as content publishing, scheduling, metadata management, banners, categories and lifecycle workflows.
• Validate video playback quality (HLS/DASH, subtitles, audio tracks, DRM, analytics) under varying network conditions.
• Execute performance, load and stability testing for both client apps and backend services.
• Log, track and verify defects in bug‑tracking systems and collaborate with engineering, product, design, DevOps and business teams.
• Mentor junior QA staff and contribute to QA best‑practice documentation and test‑automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on software testing experience, preferably in OTT or video‑streaming domains.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with test‑automation tools (Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
