Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Veeva Systems is expanding its Hyderabad development centre and seeks a Senior QA Engineer to strengthen its global quality engineering efforts. In this hands‑on role you will lead functional testing of Veeva’s AI‑powered SaaS applications, ensuring each release meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual functional and API testing to validate application features and release readiness.
• Coordinate with the QA manager and onsite engineers to hand over QA deliverables and ensure smooth transitions.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity and user‑acceptance testing across releases.
• Identify, log and verify defects using Jira and Xray throughout the testing lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC processes and QA best practices.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor junior members.

Required skills

• Manual, functional and API testing.
• Testing of AI technologies, including Large Language Models and AI‑powered applications.
• Defect management using Jira and Xray.
• SQL query knowledge.
