Lead Engineer – Test Automation

About the role

Veeva Systems is expanding its global footprint with a new development centre in Hyderabad, India. The team is looking for experienced Test Automation engineers to support the growing quality and release engineering efforts for Veeva Vault platform and related applications.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and understand features of the Veeva Vault platform and applications.
• Work daily with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for API and UI testing.
• Communicate status and collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore managers.
• Troubleshoot day‑to‑day technical issues related to test automation.
• Perform code reviews and act as a technical mentor for team members.
• Define metrics with managers to measure code quality of the automation suite.
• Partner with scrum masters on sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Contribute to recruiting initiatives to grow the Hyderabad office.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in software test automation.
• Strong Java and object‑oriented programming expertise.
• Extensive experience with automated test frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, JIRA) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Background in product‑based companies and experience leading automation projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Kotlin, Swift, React and mobile platforms (Android, iOS, macOS).
• Ability to mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and solve complex technical problems.
