Senior Project Manager

About the role

HSBC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale transformation initiatives across business, technology and operations. You will work with senior leaders to shape operating models, drive portfolio strategy and ensure successful delivery of high‑impact programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional workshops to translate complex business drivers into future‑state operating models.
• Define programme and portfolio strategy, influencing budget, schedule and resource decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver organisation‑wide programmes aligned with value‑stream objectives.
• Provide governance, reporting and risk oversight for high‑priority initiatives.
• Align portfolio planning, manage prioritisation and support quarterly business reviews.
• Manage change costs, headcount, risks and issues while ensuring partner performance.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and embed sustainable outcomes into business processes.
• Develop and execute change‑management strategies to drive adoption and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to unforeseen changes in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on testing, learning and suggesting alternatives.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in a banking or financial services context.
• Demonstrated leadership of large, cross‑functional teams.
