Senior Program Officer – Climate Health & Health System Strengthening

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit dedicated to health equity, is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead research, planning, and technical implementation at the intersection of urban development, climate change, and health‑system strengthening for its South Asia Hub.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on urban climate resilience and adaptation planning for public health infrastructure.
• Develop guidance, standards, and implementation roadmaps for climate‑resilient health facilities.
• Conduct institutional mapping and stakeholder analysis of climate, urban, and health governance.
• Collaborate with national, state, and city‑level agencies to design and implement climate‑resilient health infrastructure.
• Integrate urban planning, climate adaptation, and heat‑health governance expertise into program design.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning to ensure effective delivery of climate‑health interventions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in climate health, health‑system strengthening, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑sectoral partners, including government and urban local bodies.
• Strong analytical skills for mapping institutions and assessing stakeholder landscapes.
• Experience in developing technical guidance and implementation frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
