Senior Pipeline Cost Estimator – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Pipeline Cost Estimator to join our Oil & Gas division. The role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for domestic and international pipeline projects, working closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, and overhead.
• Lead tender and proposal preparation, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.
• Perform cost analysis and value engineering to identify savings.
• Coordinate bid data collection across cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct market research on material costs, labour rates, and competitor pricing.
• Interact with clients to clarify requirements and address queries.
• Identify risks in estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all estimates and proposals.

Required profile

• 8‑15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector (refinery, process plant, fertilizer plant).
• BE/B Tech in Mechanical engineering.
• Extensive background in tendering, proposal preparation, and pipeline estimation.
• Experience with both international and domestic projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimation software and tools such as Primavera.
• Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project.
