Senior Operations Accountant

About the role

The Senior Operations Accountant will own TAGWAY India’s daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring robust financial control as the business scales. This is a hands‑on role that requires independent problem‑solving and accurate maintenance of ERP, statutory and management records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting entries and ERP transactions.
• Prepare customer invoices, monitor AR aging and coordinate collections.
• Process vendor invoices, maintain AP controls and prepare payments.
• Perform bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations.
• Handle GST, TDS and other Indian statutory accounting requirements.
• Execute month‑end closing, produce management reports and support budgeting, cash‑flow and working‑capital visibility.
• Oversee inventory accounting, GRN, landed‑cost calculations and stock reconciliation.
• Review supporting documents before financial transactions are posted and maintain strong audit trails.
• Liaise with CA, auditors, banks and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Assist with payroll and employee‑related accounting transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies proactively.

Required profile

• Experience in a structured corporate environment with strong ERP exposure.
• Practical knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST and TDS.
• Highly organized, accurate and able to work independently under deadlines.
• Comfortable challenging incorrect information and coordinating across sales, warehouse, supply chain and management.
• Willingness to follow issues physically when required.
