Senior MS SQL Database Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior MS SQL Database Administrator to join Bosch’s technology hub in Bangalore. The role involves managing, optimizing and securing critical SQL Server environments that support global applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SQL Server instances, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design, implement and monitor backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Lead migrations of databases to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Configure and manage high‑availability features including AlwaysOn, DAG, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping and Replication.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization and capacity planning for terabyte‑scale databases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams following ITIL change‑management processes.
• Support reporting and analytics solutions using SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and Power BI.

Required profile

• 5‑9 years of hands‑on experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server tools, T‑SQL scripting and backup utilities.
• Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
