Senior Manager – Valuation & Reporting

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the valuation and reporting function, modifying actuarial models, overseeing calculations, and delivering analytical results for senior management. The role also includes day‑to‑day guidance of junior team members on a task‑by‑task basis.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely availability of data for monthly valuations and format it correctly.
• Perform and supervise complex actuarial calculations, modify models as needed and document changes.
• Compile, analyse and validate valuation results, conduct cause‑effect checks and recommend adjustments.
• Respond to internal queries, explain model limitations and assist other teams in interpreting results.
• Lead experience analysis projects, identify trends and propose actions to mitigate rate deterioration.
• Prepare sections of regulatory (IRDA) and board reports, including solvency and financial condition reports.
• Plan, direct and monitor project execution, set priorities, and ensure delivery within agreed tolerances.

Required profile

• Actuarial qualification or progress towards actuarial exams.
• Proven experience in valuation, reporting and model management.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, anticipate problems and balance multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with capacity to digest large data sets quickly.
• Experience guiding junior staff and communicating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
