Senior Manager - Technical Solutions (Big Data / AI)

About the role

The Senior Manager (Data & AI) for Technical Solutions Engineering will lead a regional team of Data & AI experts in India, ensuring resiliency and smooth operation of customer production workloads. The role coordinates support across APJ and EMEA business hours and collaborates with global teams for 24x7 coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Solutions Manager for an elite team covering EMEA & APJ business hours.
• Grow the team’s technical expertise to support adoption of new Databricks products and features.
• Engage with top customers to align Data & AI strategies with business needs, in partnership with field engineering and sales.
• Partner with internal product engineering teams to improve product supportability.
• Maintain high reliability of the Databricks platform to help customers achieve their business goals.

Required profile

• At least 3 + years of people‑leadership experience as a manager.
• 12 + years in the IT industry with a strong background in software engineering and data engineering.
• Experience leading engineering, technical support, or consulting teams; customer‑facing experience highly desirable.
• Hands‑on experience at production scale with Big Data, Machine Learning/AI, or Data Science/Streaming use cases.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and an ownership mindset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
