Senior Manager Projects – Engineering

About the role

The Senior Manager Projects – Engineering will lead the design and execution of formulation projects across India, covering both brownfield and greenfield sites. The role focuses on sterile dosage forms, ensuring projects move from concept to commercialisation while meeting strict budget, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation projects, including line balancing and capacity calculations for manufacturing lines.
• Develop and implement cost‑saving and energy‑efficient solutions at all manufacturing locations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and cGMP requirements during design and construction.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor daily progress, and control expenditures for investments above ₹100 million.
• Verify bills of quantities, coordinate with contractors, and apply relevant codes (IS, NBC, SMACNA).
• Lead a team of 10+ engineers, overseeing site execution, safety guidelines and zero‑incident targets.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with minimum 70% marks.
• 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in sterile and aseptic operations.
• Proven track record as project lead on multiple large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design for sterile environments (PFS, SVP, LVP).
• Experience with regulatory guidelines, statutory compliance and construction safety.
