Senior Manager – Packaging Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead end‑to‑end packaging procurement for a portfolio of over 1,500 SKUs across multiple private brands in personal care and cosmetics. The role is based onsite in Vikhroli, Mumbai and involves shaping strategy, driving cost efficiency, and championing sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for all packaging formats, including bottles, tubes, laminates, labels, cartons, corrugated boxes and pouches.
• Source, evaluate and manage high‑performance suppliers, fostering innovation and cost optimisation.
• Lead vendor negotiations and contract finalisation to secure best value without compromising quality.
• Drive sustainability initiatives by introducing eco‑friendly packaging materials and processes.
• Oversee day‑to‑day procurement operations, ensuring OTIF delivery and strict adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing, R&D, quality and operations teams for new product developments and product refreshes.
• Monitor supplier performance through audits, scorecards and continuous improvement programmes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or packaging sourcing within FMCG, cosmetics or e‑commerce.
• Strong knowledge of plastics, laminates, paperboard and printing processes.
• Proven experience managing large SKU portfolios and multi‑brand environments.
• Demonstrated vendor management and contract negotiation expertise.
