Senior Linux Automation Expert (Ansible)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Automation Expert to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of automation solutions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and cloud services across Bosch worldwide. You will work closely with IT, DevOps and security teams to ensure stable, secure and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead automation implementation for RHEL server and cloud service operations.
• Design and evolve automation framework strategies and road‑maps.
• Automate installation, maintenance, hardening, patch management and threat detection for large‑scale Linux infrastructures.
• Develop API‑driven automation and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Address audit findings, IT risks and ensure evidence documentation.
• Maintain high‑availability, coordinate 1st/2nd level support and troubleshoot escalated issues.
• Improve monitoring (Icinga, Zabbix, CheckMK) and prepare SOP documentation.
• Collaborate on security best practices for on‑premise and cloud Linux/Unix environments.
• Manage host, golden image and cloud platform automation, storage, backup and ESX administration.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and lead event‑driven self‑healing automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Linux server operations, system engineering and automation.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale Ubuntu/Debian/RHEL environments.
• Experience integrating Linux servers with identity providers such as Active Directory.
