Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated legal professional to join our dynamic legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel. The role focuses on commercial contracting within the IT services sector, ensuring compliance, protecting company interests, and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, software licence agreements, SaaS agreements, data protection agreements, GDPR amendments and NDAs.
• Support infrastructure and managed‑service deals involving multi‑vendor ecosystems and complex flow‑down/flow‑up structures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align contract terms with business goals and mitigate risks.
• Provide ongoing legal support on data protection, global privacy compliance, information‑security risk assessments and privacy awareness initiatives.
• Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts such as subcontractor agreements and agency worker contracts.
• Advise internal stakeholders—including Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Infosec and HR—on legal issues and risks.
• Assist local HR teams with labour and employment matters, policies and inquiries.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract playbooks, templates and knowledge repositories.
• Partner with Legal Operations to support CLM implementation and other global legal efficiency projects.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of post‑qualification experience handling complex commercial transactions, preferably in the IT industry.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Solid understanding of GDPR and other privacy legislation.
• Ability to work independently and provide practical, business‑friendly legal advice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for interaction at all organisational levels.
• Prior experience with EMEA‑based commercial contracts and CLM tools is an advantage.

• Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
