Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are partnering with a leading hospitality group in Mumbai to appoint an Associate Director – Legal, also referred to as Senior Legal Counsel. The role will lead the company’s legal function, overseeing litigation and arbitration matters and ensuring compliance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all litigation and arbitration cases, coordinating with external counsel.
• Provide legal advice to cross‑functional business teams on contracts, regulatory issues and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, leases and other legal documents.
• Monitor changes in legislation affecting the hospitality, real estate and service sectors.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong expertise in litigation and arbitration.
• Proven ability to work closely with external counsel and cross‑functional teams.
• Prior experience in hospitality, real estate or related service sectors is an advantage.
