Senior Group Manager – PLM Physical Product

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Senior Group Manager for PLM Physical Product to lead its India team. Based in Bangalore, the role sits within the Digital function and drives the delivery of PLM solutions and services across global Airbus business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the PLM Physical Product India team, including two product groups and a sub‑group, ensuring alignment with global PLM strategy.
• Report operationally to HO Engineering & PLM Solutions and functionally to HO PLM for Physical Product PSL.
• Collaborate with European and Indian product heads to define contributions and roles.
• Participate in PSL Leadership Team meetings, workshops, and quarterly reviews.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for the India team that support PSL and domain objectives.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, drive continuous process improvement, and oversee performance management.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and empower team members, fostering a culture consistent with corporate goals.
• Provide performance feedback, recognize achievements, and take disciplinary actions when required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in IT, engineering, and PLM domains, with a strong understanding of digital transformation.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for international collaboration.
• Ability to translate business strategy into actionable team goals.
• Experience in performance management, talent development, and recruitment.
