Senior Executive - Payments - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and needs a senior leader to build and manage the operation in the Pune territory. You will create the team, drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, and grow merchant relationships to increase transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a Field Operations Staff (FOS) team and monitor their productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and lead QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments across the territory.
• Develop distribution channels, map FOS coverage and manage channel relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and monthly store activation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy.
• Self‑starter with a passion for field work and retailer engagement.
