Senior Executive - Payments - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Senior Executive to build and lead the operation in Chennai. You will be responsible for creating a new merchant acquisition pipeline, assembling a field team, and driving QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments to generate transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a field sales team (FOS) and monitor their productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels, map coverage, and manage channel relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation, and monthly store activation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.
• Build relationships with key decision‑makers for business development.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy.
• Self‑starter with a passion for field work and retailer engagement.
