Senior Executive Finance - Controllers

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Senior Executive Finance – Controllers to join its Bangalore Hub. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial accounting, reporting, risk management and tax compliance for a large, purpose‑driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting, including month‑end close, trial balance, journal governance and preparation of statutory financial statements under Ind AS.
• Coordinate audits (Statutory, CAD, IFC) and ensure compliance with the Global Financial Controls Framework.
• Manage tax compliance and assurance activities in partnership with the Unilever Tax team, covering direct and indirect taxes, advance tax, and transfer‑pricing audits.
• Oversee employee‑related financial activities such as salary vs. notional salary reviews, accruals for variable pay, share plans and other annual payouts.
• Act as business partner to the India Centre Head, handling performance management of seat costs, budgeting, control, charge‑out and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Qualified or semi‑qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing month‑end processes, P/L, balance sheet and cash‑flow for a large or mid‑size organization.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP financial modules.
• Strong understanding of risk, internal controls and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent accounting knowledge and attention to data accuracy.
