Senior Engineer – Modernization Sales

About the role

KONE is looking for a Senior Engineer to drive modernization sales across its elevator and escalator portfolio. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, shaping solutions that enhance people flow in modern buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture customer relationships, using solution‑selling methodology with architects, developers and consultants.
• Generate leads, opportunities and contracts to meet sales budgets and pricing targets.
• Coordinate pre‑tender reviews, ensure accurate handover to operations and manage site‑readiness requirements.
• Collaborate with Customer Solutions Engineering for technical input on non‑standard tenders.
• Maintain comprehensive CRM data, report sales performance and support finance in collections.

Required profile

• Engineering or MBA background.
• 5–8 years of direct or modernization sales experience, preferably in the elevator industry.
• Strong understanding of market trends in sales and marketing.
• Target‑oriented, self‑driven sales professional with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
