Job description

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Developer to join Bosch’s Airbag software team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, implementing and validating safety‑critical automotive software for airbag systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded C applications for microcontrollers used in airbag control units.
  • Integrate and test communication stacks (CAN, FlexRay, UDS/KWP, SPI) and ensure compliance with ISO14229/ISO14230 standards.
  • Use automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANDiva, Lauterbach and Rhapsody for simulation, debugging and code generation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features on schedule.
  • Maintain version control (GIT, ALM/RTC) and support continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins, CI/CT).

Required profile

  • 5‑10 years of experience in embedded software development for the automotive domain.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, RTOS and low‑level C programming.
  • Self‑starter with good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a dedicated project team.

Required skills

  • Embedded C / C++ programming.
  • RTOS, CAN, FlexRay, UDS/KWP, SPI protocols.
  • Automotive toolchain: CANalyzer, CANoe, CANDiva, CANstress, CANDELA Studio, Lauterbach.
  • Scripting: Shell, Perl, CAPL, Make.
  • Version control: GIT, ALM/RTC.
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, CI, CT.
  • Model‑based development: MATLAB, Simulink, TargetLink, Rhapsody.
  • Control systems, ISO14229, ISO14230 standards.
