Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution & Design

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies that support cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment. The role involves performing engineering analysis, generating test reports, and creating documentation for product releases while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modify detailed electrical drawings using E3S CAD and AutoCAD Electrical based on sketches and engineering notes.
• Develop AC power distribution designs and perform three‑phase power calculations, including complex polar and Cartesian estimations.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of components, identify critical part sources, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Contribute design modifications to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in electrical hardware design, troubleshooting, and semiconductor industry environments.
• Degree or master’s in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with lab and test‑stand setups.

Required skills

• Three‑phase power calculations and AC power distribution design.
• Understanding of electrical circuit protection, sensors, and electronic component principles.
• Proficiency with Electrical CAD tools (E3S CAD, AutoCAD Electrical).
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, and electrical panel schematics.
