Senior Director, Privacy Counsel

About the role

TaskUs is seeking a Senior Director, Privacy Counsel to lead its global privacy program. The role will shape privacy strategy across multiple regions and ensure compliance with evolving data protection regulations while supporting the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global privacy roadmap aligned with TaskUs’s expansion into North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, VCDPA and emerging AI‑specific regulations.
• Partner with Sales and Legal to negotiate complex Data Processing Addendums (DPAs) and represent the privacy program during client audits and RFPs.
• Collaborate with Product and AI Operations to ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant use of generative AI and machine‑learning models.
• Embed privacy‑by‑design principles into product development and client onboarding.
• Oversee third‑party vendor privacy due diligence and lifecycle management.
• Lead the Global Privacy Incident Response Team for swift breach handling.
• Manage Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and coordinate third‑party privacy audits such as SOC 2.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in privacy law compliance and program leadership.
• Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong track record of negotiating DPAs and handling high‑stakes client engagements.
• Experience overseeing incident response and audit processes.
