Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Infrastructure

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate and support scalable cloud and on‑premises platforms that enable reliable software delivery for its industrial software solutions. The role is based in Bangalore with a hybrid work arrangement and reports to the R&D engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product and architecture teams to enhance developer platforms and support critical business applications.
• Design, implement and maintain highly available, performant and scalable cloud (Azure/AWS) and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Build, automate and manage the lifecycle of Development, QA, Staging and Production environments.
• Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment and environment issues, and drive incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Evaluate, integrate and automate new tools and technologies to improve developer productivity.
• Develop monitoring, logging, tracing and self‑healing solutions to increase system reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development, systems administration and operational support.
