Senior Consultant – Metals & Cement

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Energy & Commodities division in Mumbai. The role focuses on delivering strategy and advisory services to clients in the metals and cement sectors, helping them solve complex business challenges and drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consulting assignments covering market entry, growth strategy, business planning, and sector assessments for metals and cement clients.
• Structure problem statements, develop hypotheses, and translate analysis into clear strategic recommendations.
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
• Drive end‑to‑end project delivery, including scoping, analysis, synthesis, and final presentations.
• Conduct and supervise primary and secondary research, industry interactions, and financial/operational analysis.
• Prepare client‑ready presentations, reports, and proposals.
• Support business development through pitch decks, thought pieces, and identification of new themes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high‑quality, timely delivery of engagements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the metals and cement value chain and sector dynamics.
• Experience in consulting, advisory, or strategy‑focused roles, preferably within the sector.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and build data‑backed recommendations.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation, and client‑facing communication skills.
• Stakeholder management capability and independent work‑stream ownership.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on identifying new opportunities.
• Collaborative, high‑ownership approach in fast‑paced environments.
