Senior Cargo Planning Agent (Ahmedabad)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cargo Planning Agent to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this position you will act as the operational bridge between Cargo Revenue Management and Cargo Operations, ensuring timely and accurate freight booking releases and rapid response to disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate flight booking details before Freight Booking List (FBL) release, performing compatibility checks and advance booking optimisation.
• Verify air waybills are ready for planning and re‑book shipments when required, aligning with shipment priorities.
• Release FBLs within agreed timeframes, providing accurate planning guidelines to operations or ground handling agents.
• Revise FBLs for last‑minute changes such as aircraft downgrades, cancellations or load adjustments.
• Recover off‑loaded shipments by reprotecting them on subsequent flights within the defined processing time.
• Conduct first‑level post‑flight analysis to identify planning inefficiencies and flag anomalies.
• Escalate and prioritise special‑handling shipments, including VIP and high‑value cargo.
• Perform additional department duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cargo planning, capacity management, cargo operations, logistics/supply chain or airline reservations.
• Strong knowledge of cargo planning processes and revenue protection principles.
