Shipping Manager – Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Shipping Manager will lead the end‑to‑end dispatch function for finished goods, ensuring that shipments align with production plans and customer expectations. This senior position oversees inventory control, labor planning, safety compliance, and stakeholder relationships within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee timely dispatch of finished goods according to the shared plan, with zero deviations.
• Maintain minimum inventory levels and enforce FIFO, zero‑expiry, and fill‑rate principles.
• Develop and adjust annual shipping labor deployment plans to meet fluctuating demand.
• Implement and monitor safety standards across plant and depot facilities.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports, sales return data, and production‑plan reconciliation.
• Publish management dashboards within agreed timelines.
• Foster strong relationships with transport and CnF agents to secure vehicle availability.

Required profile

• Graduation degree (post‑graduation preferred).
• 10‑15 years of supply‑chain experience in manufacturing or FMCG.
• At least 5 years in dispatch or shipping operations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage both organized and unorganized workforces.
