Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

About the role

Amazon's Chronicle team within Selling Partner Services is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to shape the future of the Turismo product suite. You will work on a high‑scale analytics platform powered by Ripple, a PrestoDB‑based query engine that processes millions of queries each week.

Key responsibilities

• Define architectural patterns and technical standards for enterprise analytics solutions.
• Design frameworks for metric definition, governance, and self‑service analytics.
• Lead the implementation of strategic analytics initiatives and drive innovation in BI capabilities.
• Convert legacy reporting layouts and KPI calculations into modern AWS QuickSight solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver robust analytics products.
• Mentor team members on architecture, design, and best practices.
• Communicate insights and business reviews to senior management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Proven ability to extract, transform, and clean multi‑TB data sets.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and scripting for automation.
• Strong background in data modeling and operational excellence.
