Senior Barista

About the role

The Senior Barista position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Mumbai. You will be responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffee and espresso‑based drinks while overseeing the daily operations of the café and supporting the bakehouse to maintain high product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of specialty coffee and espresso beverages with consistent quality.
• Oversee daily café operations, including cash handling, order taking, and payment processing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in both the café and bakehouse areas.
• Train and mentor junior barista team members.
• Manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and daily checklists.
• Collaborate with the roasting and bakehouse teams to introduce new menu items and improve service processes.

Required profile

• Strong barista expertise, including espresso extraction and milk steaming.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Clear communication and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in café or kitchen operations with a focus on hygiene and safety.
• Prior senior or lead barista experience in a specialty coffee environment is preferred.
• Organized, reliable, and passionate about coffee with a willingness to learn roasting and brewing methods.
