Senior Backend Software Engineer (Remote, India)

About the role

SavvyMoney, a US‑based fintech leader, is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build backend services for its credit‑score and personal‑finance platform. The role is fully remote from any location in India and works with a distributed team across the USA, Canada, Europe and India.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that support applications and infrastructure.
• Implement secure and efficient APIs for frontend applications and third‑party integrations.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through effective architecture and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver solutions aligned with business and user needs.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of backend systems.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements for efficiency and stability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building applications on cloud‑based technologies (Java/AWS stack).
• Proven experience developing backend services, micro‑services and distributed systems.
• Strong background working with AWS cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of developers, product managers and system administrators.
• Highly analytical problem‑solver.
