Senior Auditor - Sanctions and Embargos

About the role

As a Senior Auditor you will lead high‑quality audit assignments focused on sanctions and embargoes across commercial, back‑office and specialised banking units. You will work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment, developing deep expertise while helping to evolve audit methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report end‑to‑end audit segments independently.
• Provide risk‑based insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Draft clear audit reports and presentation materials.
• Leverage data analytics to assess processes, identify risks and support continuous monitoring.
• Mentor junior auditors on technical and methodological topics.
• Contribute to audit methodology research and cross‑functional projects.
• Participate in thematic reviews and transversal initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree from a top engineering school, business school or specialised postgraduate programme.
• Minimum 3 years in audit or 8 years in the banking sector.
• Strong autonomy, organisational abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Understanding of risk‑based audit methodology, compliance functions and banking operations related to sanctions and embargoes.
