Senior Associate – Core Banking & FS Tech Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to lead core banking and financial services technology advisory projects in Mumbai. The role focuses on optimizing retail banking processes across deposits, lending and payments, and delivering end‑to‑end solutions that meet regulatory standards and client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimise retail banking processes across deposits (CASA/TD/RD), lending (personal, auto, home, cards) and payments (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, cards, ACH) from discovery to rollout and continuous improvement.
• Map and analyse current (AS‑IS) processes for deposits, lending workflows and payment journeys, identifying gaps and inefficiencies.
• Design optimal future (TO‑BE) processes aligned with RBI, KYC/AML, FATCA/CRS, NPCI guidelines and other regulatory standards.
• Define and document Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), process maps (BPMN), SOPs, SLAs and control frameworks, ensuring traceability and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with bank business, solutions, operations and IT teams for functional solutioning, gap analysis and change request management.

Required profile

• Senior‑associate level experience in banking or financial services technology advisory.
• Strong understanding of core banking processes, regulatory requirements and payment systems.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders including business, operations, risk/compliance and technology.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.
